Contemporary black morocco over wooden boards, richly gilt-stamped, spine in seven compartments with raised bands, edges gauffered and with monogram "B S", covers richly gilt, front board with gilt heraldic supra-libros of the city of Danzig (Gdansk - Poland).
Title with old Polish ownership and stamp, original clasps removed. Overall an exceptionally well-preserved copy on firm laid paper with full margins and strong impressions.
