" ... One of the notable parts of the chart is the apparently unnoticed presence of a quaintly spelt Filadelfy. This is one of the earliest maps to include it and clearly illustrates the impact that the new colony was having not just in England but on the Continent as well. The nomenclature along the Delaware River is again entirely original drawing from an unknown source, clearly an amalgam of English and Dutch ones. ..." (Burden)
